Consistency Took me From Hiding in the Shadows to Trending in 3 Months!

#Truthmoment I hid in the shadows of my dreams for a long time. The last 10 years of my life has been complicated to say the least. That’s no excuse. Life will always give you an opportunity to stop. Literally - you can stop pursuing your dreams for so may reasons. Pushing past your discomfort, and growing in the trenches produces success.

I went from standing in the shadows of my dreams, to being consistent and trending in three months. Here’s what I did . . .

Pushing past your discomfort, and growing while in the trenches produces success.

Back in October of 2017 I made a commitment share my story with more people but I needed a way to do that. I decided to go live on Periscope everyday (I hated going live, btw). Initially it was hard, but I kept at it. At first, I was nervous and had do a lot of prepping to get started. Half of the times I had no idea what I was going to talk about and would rush through it. As I continued it became like second nature to me. I created a consistent schedule and started following a theme. I started sharing my daily affirmation on Periscope every morning. I even began connecting with other live streamers and got a lot of interest in my businesses. I realized that I was building an audience and getting engagement on other platforms like Twitter and Instagram because of it.

Most recently, I did a scope train with The PeriGirls and I showcased my birds. Yes! My beautiful Parakeets Charlotte & JR. Guess what? It went viral! Periscope featured my broadcast and I’m trending! Excited is an understatement. It was so much fun!

Being a featured broadcaster gives me an opportunity to reach more people with my message. This happened because of my commitment and consistency. I believed in myself and my ability to change lives and share my message.

I believe in my dreams and my ability to succeed. #BreeSaidIt

If you’re struggling with accomplishing your goals, here’s three practical ways to keep at it.

  1. Push past your discomfort.
  2. Put yourself out there, and be OK with not knowing if people will accept you.
  3. Stick to a habit, not listening to the negative self-talk that normally holds you back.

Stick to what you’ve started, and learn to trust yourself.

Success is on the other side of your comfort zone.
