Learning to be vulnerable

Who has been divinely placed in your life?

Do you allow them to believe that you have a perfect life?

Honestly, that’s a tough question for me to answer.

If you know me you know that I will grin and bear it. I’m learning that relationships require mutual vulnerability.

Have you ever allowed yourself to be completely vulnerable in a relationship?

It can be daunting . . . Maybe even intimidating.

Vulnerability is one of those taboo subjects.

Letting your guard down.

Vulnerability is one of those things that will stir up all kinds of emotions.

Did you know there are 6 Layers of human emotions?

As I thrive through the seasons in my life every single one of these emotions are important to understand.

I use my affirmations to command my day frame my thoughts, live my best life + MANAGE my emotions!

If you’re interested in learning more the 6 layers of human emotions and your words of affirmation, be sure to grab a copy of #IAMThriving

I am embracing moments of vulnerability. Being vulnerable leads me to freedom, truth + growth!

I took a stab at exploring vulnerability live on Periscope.

There are 3 groups of people that you NEED to be vulnerable with:

  1. Those that have earned the right.

  2. Those that can bear the weight.

  3. Those that will tell you the truth.

Vulnerability doesn’t mean that you’re not in control.

I can be vulnerable + in control of my emotions. I choose to be vulnerable + guard my energy + my peace. #Affirmation

Your VULNERABILITY matters with those that are strong enough to bear it because:

1. Your strength will also grow

2. You’ll have new experiences

3. You’ll learn + overcome what’s holding you back

Vulnerability is a sign that you’re thriving.

Relationships matter but I own my story!

How do you maintain ownership of your story?

▶️ Re-evaluate your inner circle

▶️ Set boundaries (again)

▶️ Always operate with truth + transparencyg

#Vulnerability is a choice.

I AM vulnerable with the people that have earned the right.

Vulnerability requires courage.

“Courage is like—it’s a habitus, a habit, a virtue: You get it by courageous acts. It’s like you learn to swim by swimming. You learn to courage by couraging.” “Yes, I am imperfect and vulnerable and sometimes afraid, but that doesn’t change the truth that I am also brave and worthy of love and belonging.”
— Brene Brown

What I learned from being vulnerable is:

🖤 You bring forgiveness & trust into your life

🖤 You learn that there is beauty in your imperfections

🖤 You begin to show up unapologetically in life

How is vulnerability showing up in your relationships?

I AM brave and daring greatly because of my vulnerability. #BreeSaidIt
